Hitch

Read Hitchens.

Whoo hoo!

Daily Press Briefing for October 21 -- Transcript: "QUESTION: Did you hear that Castro fell?

MR. BOUCHER: We heard that Castro fell. There are, I think, various reports that he broke a leg, an arm, a foot, and other things, and I'd guess you'd have to check with the Cubans to find out what's broken about Mr. Castro. We, obviously, have expressed our views about what's broken in Cuba.

QUESTION: Do you wish him a speedy recovery?

MR. BOUCHER: No."
Also, I forgot to say that Ed got a new computer delivered today and I am now in the throes of pathetic, abject, ridiculous jealousy. I mean, that MONITOR is slammin'.

Movies

Team America: funny
Wimbledon: fluffy-funny

Gosh, I wish I could remember the name of the documentary I just saw with Kim, about four brothers in NY state. One was accused of murder; their life and everything else that was involved was absolutely crazy. They were raising turkeys on a bus. A bus! And lived in magnificent squalor. It was amazing.

Just go see Team America. I heard the Michael Moore puppet is filled with ham.

Apologies

For being away too long. If you'd like to know what I've been spending time on, here are some links:

Great political commentary and up-to-date polls: RealClearPolitics

Incredible, fascinating military analysis and political commentary: Victor Davis Hanson

Read National Review -- both the Corner and the Kerry Spot.

Anyway, I've been working on March issue of magazine, got stuck in Florida for hurricane Jeanne, have been working overtime trying to help my sister with her wedding invitations...just generally keeping house has me tired lately!
