Why yes, those ARE Christmas lights!
I'm posting this photo which is part of a meme that Crazy Aunt Purl is doing - she wants to see where we all knit.
So this is where I knit. If you want to know what everything is, go to Flickr, there are notes! Just click the photo below.
Here's Fee camping under the table:
And here's Grady, and I swear to you he Actually Is Turning Brown:

THE COUCH! THE COUCH! I knit everywhere. I've considered taking multiple photos and making a little montage and sending it to her. But it makes me tired thinking about it.
Wait. It makes me tired thinking about anything. Yeah.
Anyway...that is the most COMFORTABLE COUCH IN NASHVILLE PEOPLE. I spent many nap-times reading or chatting with Jen on the web on that couch.
Memories...
:O)
Looks comfy! Hmm, I wonder what triggers a mid-life color change in cats?!
I'm impressed that your knitting nest looks so neat. Mine looks really messay and a tad scary. And, of course, it is the first thing you see when you walk in the door!
I'll take a picture of my knitting spot at home as soon as I finally make one!!!
Love love love the cats (and Rudy's turning red!)
Maybe it's the changing of the seasons - Meiko is a silver tabby, but this time of year bits of her silver go a little brown.
