I'm just past the heel on my Knotty or Knice socks. Short-row heels don't fit my feet well so I am using my favorite toe-up sock heel, details in two posts here.
It's a toe-up gusset and short row heel, but with no flap. Fits my big feet very well. Try it, you'll like it!

Those are coming along beautifully! I'm tempted to cast on a pair myself now :)
I have one toe up sock waiting for a heel, and I've been tormented as to what to do. I think I will give this a try! Thank you! I was following an article from Interweave Knits (Ann Budd)but I just struggle so with the wraps.
I want to be a sock knitter when I grow up. These are very nice.
