Still nothing to talk about

Except stress and deadlines. My car engine is full of leaks - oil leaking on the plugs, the belts, possibly even the radiator. Last summer I'd set a goal of replacing it this month anyway, but I didn't expect it to quit on me. I wasn't quite prepared to replace it yet, but it's not going to kill me to do it either. (For anybody new to the blog, I am extremely anti car-lease and don't even want a car payment that takes longer than a year to pay off. I worked hard to get out of debt and don't want it again if I can help it. I am looking for an 02-05 Altima with reasonably low miles and a reasonable price.)

Time to just sit still and listen, and see what bubbles up that seems like a good thing to do. Otherwise, no news, and no pictures. Today's the MW keynote, tomorrow night I may have my new iPhone but it depends on what Mr Jobs has to say.

In the meantime, check out these pictures. Does anybody else remember the 70s as actually looking like this? I do! I think the four-boys-two-glasses one is the funniest.

That sounds sort of like what my beloved old purple Escort wagon did to me a few years ago - it threw a rod and I was forced to get a different car quite suddenly. I'm with you on the no lease/minimal car payments - I had a new car once, and don't care to again.

I feel like cars know when you are ready to replace them and die. Or at least that is what all of my cars have done. My last car was totaled in an accident (a big huge truck hit me) so I was forced into a new car before I was ready. Luckily my friend came along and bargined down the car price to a nice level and my car payments are nice and small (so I pay more to pay it off sooner). Cars! Makes you want to just walk :)

Don't worry. You'll find a car. I love the pictures. I have a Dorothy Hamill haircut in my senior picture.

What about the sharing car programs to get you though the time being, when you are still looking. We have them in mn but not sure about where you live...

Bad car! Bad!

Those pictures were hilarious! And yup, that's exactlyt the way it was.

I'm sure Grady is crazy about the Sound of Music songs. Who wouldn't be? Raindrops on roses and whiskers on kittens...
